Guard hurts ankle in practice; Morency does not practice

Guard Junius Coston was added to the Green Bay Packers' injury report today with an ankle injury. The Packers did not detail how Coston sustained the injury, but it was presumably during the end of practice inside the Don Hutson Center. Reporters are not allowed to watch practice when 7 on 7 and other team drills begin.

Coston took over the starting spot at right guard ahead of Jason Spitz in recent weeks. Spitz is scheduled to play center this week for the injured Scott Wells, who sustained a fractured eye orbit last Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Players who were limited in practice today were: LT Chad Clifton (knee), TE Bubba Franks (knee), CB Al Harris (back), WR Greg Jennings (shoulder), DE Michael Montgomery (knee) and CB Charles Woodson (foot).

Running back Vernand Morency did not participate in practice. McCarthy said that Morency will participate in practice on Friday, as planned, in an effort to rest his patellar tendon that he injured early in training camp.
